To be appropriately introduced to Akanna is to learn about the individuals who had the unique vision to start it in the first place. Let's take it back to the beginning. While sitting on a plane preparing to fly to a funeral, the idea was given to CEO Melissa Boston as what the team declared was "A Gift from God." At the time, she was CEO of another multi-million dollar Cannabis/CBD and essential oil company and had no plans to launch her own company.

Yet, a few weeks later, she recognized a shift in the Cannabis/CBD market. So, she had the idea to create a company with a more exclusive focus on Cannabis/CBD. Once Melissa received the blessing from her company to pursue her new business idea, she first shared her plan with Phyllis Nash, her right-hand business partner, and the rest is history.

Akanna means "In the Hands of God." From its beginnings, Akanna has been driven and inspired by powerful energy. This dynamic team's business acumen and relentless drive allowed them to create a multi-million dollar cannabis CBD company in a few short months. In 2021 they introduced the Flat Belly Lifestyle, expanded their product line to include weight loss and detox products, and started their wellness coach certification program. In 2023, Akanna added its travel membership and forex/crypto training program.

Akanna has an innovative, dynamic, diverse, and experienced team dedicated to changing lives worldwide. They provide an opportunity to own a fully equipped online wellness dispensary empowering individuals to participate in the trillion-dollar wellness and travel industry and the massive financial sector with revenues in the quadrillions.

Melissa Boston

Chief Executive Officer

She has over thirty years of Direct Sales experience. As CEO, she has helped spearhead Akanna and two CBD startup companies. She is the visionary behind the Akanna brand of over 28,000 customers and 4,000 distributors. She spent over two decades as a top performer, building teams internationally in over 46 countries. She was named MVP numerous times and served on the executive leadership council for some of the leading companies in the industry, helping to shape and guide the direction.

BO TOMLYN

MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD

He is a health and wellness guru and once owned a series of health spas. His time in network marketing spans more than 40 years, during which he built teams of more than 50,000 distributors. He has a diverse career as a versatile keyboard/vocalist who worked in studios and on stage with over 80 significant artists such as Barbra Streisand, Cher, Diana Ross, Earth Wind & Fire, Julio Iglesias, The Jacksons Victory Tour (1984), Lionel Ritchie, Madonna, Mick Jagger, Prince, Stevie Wonder & Whitney Houston.

Phyllis Nash

Chief Sales Officer

She has over 30 years of service and sales experience, from being a cashier to becoming the General Manager of a significant Barbecue chain in Chicago. She also became Vice President of the African American Homebuilders Organization and developed single-family homes in Partnership with the City of Chicago. Nash started in Direct Sales in 2006 and enjoyed the freedom of working from home. As CSO, she is known as the Mid-Wife because she loves helping people birth the possibilities they are pregnant with.

Christian Phillips, mba

Chief Operating Officer

He has more than 15 years of experience in the direct sales industry and has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2022. In this position, he oversees the operations, and the system of distribution, which features approximately 3,000 distributors across 30+ specialties. He is responsible for Customer Service, IT, Compliance, Shipping, Warehouse, and Logistics. His drive, ambition, and skill set for delivering results in this competitive market remain relevant to Akanna’s mission.

Jesus Soriano

International Spanish Ambassador

He has an extensive background in the direct sales industry and a critical contributor to several network-marketing companies. His monthly sales volume has been in the millions, including leading and training tens of thousands of people over the last 35 years in more than 15 states, including Puerto Rico. He is poised and ready to lead and empower the Hispanic community, a trillion-dollar market known as the "Hispanic Gold Rush," and all cultures and ethnicities worldwide.

Led by CEO Melissa Boston-Atoyebi, Akanna's executive team has a combined 120 years of experience in the direct sales industry and has helped to shape and guide multi-billion dollar companies.
